Plants for Insects

The decline of insects means that there is now an interest in planting species that benefit pollinators in our gardens. However, few studies have rigorously analysed which ornamental plants are most attractive to insects. Moreover, most research has been carried out in the UK, which has very different climatic and soil conditions to our own.

With the study Plants for Insects, we want to find out which ornamental plants in urban gardens are most attractive para estos animales.
You can download the poster with the results of 2024, presented in the International Electronic Entomology Conference, donde encontraréis más detalles sobre la metodología.

Bee workshop in the Galacho of Juslibol

In March we held our workshop "Discovering the bees of the Galacho de Juslibol".We talked about the importance of bees in ecosystems and how we can help them. Despite the strong wind, we went on a walk where we were able to observe several genera visiting flowers. A morning full of curiosities and an audience eager to learn!
