José Herrera

Entomologist by profession and vocation. He completed a PhD on the population ecology of tiger beetles at the University of Murcia. He has followed a professional career in research and environmental consultancy for several years in Germany, focusing on faunistic and ecological aspects of odonates, bees, carabids and orthoptera of northern Europe. He is currently based in the Aragonese Pyrenees, where he works with local communities of Orthoptera and other insect groups of ecological interest.
Nuria Blasco

Biodiversity conservation enthusiast. She completed her PhD and postdoc at the University of Murcia, studying the effect of pesticides, pathogens and heat stress on bees and bumblebees. He collaborated with Butterfly Conservation UK analysing the effect of climate on butterfly populations. Subsequently, she joined the Energy and Environment Technology Centre where she combined research with environmental outreach. She is currently an independent researcher focusing on insect conservation.
